Looking Forward to Batman: Arkham City? We Are!

I run to the left, then to the right, and now I find myself backed into a corner… Great, what I am going to do now? There are too many of them. They are sure to find me. I have nowhere to go and my life is low. Is there a ledge to grapple? I don’t see one. I’m going to have to fight my way out of this one. No, there it is--a ledge to grapple! In a flash I get out of the corner and the villains have no clue where I went; they stand there in shock, puzzled over my Houdini-like disappearance.

Being Batman certainly could not possibly get any better! Or could it? Well, actually I’m not sure since Batman: Arkham City has not yet been released. Its release date is set for October 18th 2011, so we will have to wait a bit longer, but I am already counting down the seconds. I am sure we have all watched and re-watched the trailers and read all of the new tidbits of info being released; we have been searching for hints about what to expect when we are finally able to unleash the new-and-improved freeflow combos and new gadgets added to the gadget belt--seemingly being changed entirely every time I see a new update.

I played Batman: Arkham Asylum and I have to say I loved it with all of my heart. I would be lying if I said it was not the best Batman game I have ever played. While I enjoyed the solo game, I also truly enjoyed finding the trophies hidden throughout the stages by the Riddler--which helped kill the monotony of kicking the crap out of thugs dressed as clowns in my pursuit of the Joker.  From what I have heard, the new release will increase the number of freeflow combos available to the Caped Crusader. To be honest, the trophies I had the hardest time earning in Arkham Asylum were the ones involving the freeflow combos, so I hope they will be made a little easier to do in Arkham City.

Well, enough about me and my troubles in Arkham Asylum: what do you guys and gals hope to see in this release? What characters are you hoping will make cameo appearances? Are you going to go out and get it upon release, or did you think the first one was horribly boring? Tell me what you think!
